Membership Options

If you’re looking to start a membership program, we recommend upgrading to our Pro package to integrate in-app subscriptions. If you’re searching outside of this option, we recommend Memberspace if your website is built on WordPress.

If you want to sell one-time digital downloads, consider Shopify. Keep in mind that any digital downloads and purely digital memberships (ones that do not include physical goods) must be marketed outside the app, as Apple & Google policies state these sales must go through them.

Setting a Pricing Structure

You can set a price for the country or region you’re familiar with as the basis for automatically generating prices across the other 174 storefronts and 43 currencies. Automatically generated prices account for foreign exchange rates and certain taxes, and follow the most common pricing convention for each country or region.

Transitioning Existing Members

If your mobile app has in-app subscription but you already have an existing web-based subscription with paying members, e.g. Memberspace, here are two options for handling this. We recommend the first option, but the choice is ultimately up to you!

  1. Keep your existing web-based subscription model up and running to continue getting revenue through that site, while NEW subscribers pay through Apple & Google. Eventually, Memberspace subscribers will migrate, which may take a few years.
  2. You can reach out to all current web-based subscribers and ask them to manually switch over to the app, but it's less likely they’ll want to put their credit card down again.
